Seán Whelan is a guitarist and producer working in the Celtic and World music arena and is now much in demand as both a studio and live musician.He has played guitar through a cross-section of styles from Celtic Music/ Jazz /Gypsy Swing/Classical/World music and has established himself as a forerunner in Acoustic music by the passion, creativity and versatility of his playing.Seán has toured extensively with various artists includingKOKIA,PUCK FAIR,CAFE ORCHESTRA Niamh Parsons, Seán Keane and Kieran Halpin,Harpist Junshi Murakami, Violinists Lars Kristensen and Anker Buch in Scandinavia, Germany, Italy, Spain, Eastern Europe, North America and Japan.

Ceól for Japan-Irish Musicians for Japan Benefit Concert

Ceól for Japan,is a gathering of musicians and people from Ireland coming together to show their support and raise funds to help victims of the recent Tohoku Earthquake/Tsunami in Japan..proceeds raised were donated to Japan Red Cross through the IJA Earthquake Fund.
The performance took place at the Button Factory,Dublin,Ireland , on Sunday 17th April
The line-up for the Concert was Anúna,Puck Fair,Lisa O’Neill,Eoin Dillon.
This is a Japanese song called “Soshu Yakyoku”..Its a home recording i made and played all the guitar parts and mixed today..inspired by Shono Mayo version…i understand that a lot of people are feeling worried in Japan at the moment and i hope that you can find some peace in this recording..

The Japanese Earthquake and Tsunami has been such an awful tragedy and i would like to offer my deepest sympathy to the families who have lost any loved ones during this time.We are praying for you.
